Pelvic Surgery and Reconstruction
Minimally Invasive Robotic Surgery
Minimally invasive robotic pelvic surgery is a procedure that utilizes robotic arms and a camera to address conditions such as pelvic organ prolapse, bladder leakage, and uterine fibroids. This approach is a safer alternative to traditional open surgery, as it requires fewer incisions and typically results in a shorter recovery time.
Robotic Vaginal Reconstructive Surgery
Robotic pelvic floor reconstruction, also known as robotic sacrocolpopexy, is a minimally invasive surgery designed to treat pelvic organ prolapse. Symptoms of pelvic organ prolapse, such as a bladder leakage, a vaginal bulge, pelvic pressure and discomfort, can be challenging to manage. With robotic pelvic floor reconstruction, you can achieve a complete pelvic floor repair without undergoing traditional invasive surgery. Our minimally invasive approach allows you to return to your favorite activities more quickly.
Incision-Free Vaginal Surgery
During incision-free gynecologic surgery, doctors use specialized instruments and a high-definition camera that are inserted through the vagina, rather than making cuts in the abdomen. This technique enables them to access the uterus, fallopian tubes, and ovaries, allowing for precise operations without any visible scarring.
Native Tissue Vaginal Surgery
Native tissue vaginal surgery is a standard treatment option for women experiencing bladder leakage and pelvic organ prolapse, which includes prolapse of the bladder, uterus, or rectum. In this procedure, the surgeon uses the patient’s own tissue to repair the prolapse without the use of synthetic mesh. This approach differs from some other vaginal repair surgeries, as it uses only a woman’s natural tissues, avoiding the use of synthetic mesh.
Second Opinions
Tugbiyele Urogynecology provides second opinions for gynecologic conditions. We understand that seeking urogynecologic treatment or surgery can be stressful, and obtaining a second opinion can help ease your concerns and empower you to make an informed decision. We welcome patients who are looking for a second opinion regarding their treatment options.
